‘No Justice, No Peace’ at Lloyds Banking Group as a part of the Black History Month
Last week Tuesday I screened my documentary ‘No Justice, No Peace’ at Lloyds Banking Group as a part of the Black History Month (BHM). It was a great privilege to take part in BHM for the Bank and talk about the film and answer questions. I felt relaxed to talk openly about my my personal experiences, so thank you to all the people who joined the event.
I want to personally thank Yvonne Robinson Co-Chair of BOLD, the BOLD Team, Belinda Asante and Susan Levy who are doing a tremendous work, they should be proud! Thank you Chris Dunn for facilitating the session you’re a natural. The feedback and comments I have received has been positive and insightful.
“Just been on the BHM event with your husband. He's awesome! Such a talented film maker and so engaging to listen to. You must be so proud of him. I remember you telling me about your son previously but hearing your husband talk about it again just made me shudder at the thought of what could have happened. I can't imagine what you've all been through. I hope he's on the road to recovery and can feel.”
“Well I think that was the best BHM event i've attended this month. Impactful, emotional and incredibly candid. Stephen was absolutely amazing and it was so interesting to hear his insight first hand. The shares about your son, I can't even begin to imagine what receiving that call must've been like and the impact that's had on you all. Sending so many well wishes your way and always here if you ever want to chat.”
